Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Every effort is made with the Lutheran Church Council, the Pastor of the Congregation, the City of Kenner, Jefferson Parish, the State of Louisiana, and the Federal Government to keep our children safe. In a coordinated effort between the various stakeholders, decisions about when and if to cancel school, end it early, or open it following a disaster will be communicated by text message by Ms. Maritza, Ms. Kristin, or Pastor Laura by way of Brightwheel. You can also reach out to our school phone at 504-469-2909 for updates.

We aim to keep your family healthy. Therefore, if your child has a rash, fever, vomiting, or diarrhea we ask you to keep them home. We regularly clean our classrooms, playground equipment, and everyone’s hands. If a child is not feeling well during the school day, we call you to come and get them.

We strive to build an exceptionally safe environment for children and families. Beyond state requirements for background checks, classes, and training, we have built a culture of safety where everyone is alert and speaks up if something is amiss.
