It has been five years since our congregation last offered a confirmation class, and we are excited to begin discerning the next one together.
We are inviting parents of students currently in 5th grade through freshman year to consider whether a confirmation class would be a good fit for their child at this time. An informational meeting will be held on January 18th, following worship, for parents and students to learn more, ask questions, and help shape what this class could look like.
This upcoming confirmation opportunity is intentionally designed to meet students where they are:
For students currently in 7th–11th grade, this class will serve as a faith-formation and group-building experience as we prepare together for the 2026 Youth Gathering. It will focus on strengthening relationships, exploring faith questions, and growing as a community of young people walking together in faith.
For younger students (5th–6th grade), this class will help form a cohort that will soon become the foundation of our youth group—building connections, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging within the church.
This time around, Pastor Laura will be teaching the confirmation class, and we are excited about the opportunity to shape a meaningful, engaging experience rooted in faith, conversation, and community.
Attending the January 18th meeting does not commit you to participation—it is simply a chance to learn more, share your hopes and questions, and help us discern next steps together.
If you have a child in 5th grade through freshman year, we encourage you to join us after worship on January 18th. We look forward to the conversation and to what God may be calling us to build together.
